Sitterly Commits to Biodiesel Fuel

ROGER SITTERLY & SON MAKES ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE SWITCH TO ALLIANCE BIODIESEL FUEL
Roger Sitterly & Son, Inc., a Springfield, Mass.-based moving company has made the switch to biodiesel fuel which they say will help their fleet of vehicles as well as the environment they serve on a daily basis.
The new fuel is essentially broken down into diesel fuel and a blend of refined soybean oils and in some cases other agricultural products. When used in diesel engines, the exhaust produced is remarkably cleaner and safer for the environment. Sitterly is the first mover in the Western Massachusetts area to consistently fuel all twenty vehicles in their fleet with the biodiesel fuel, including tractor trailers that travel up and down the East Coast.
For almost a year Sitterly has been fueling their vehicles located in Springfield and South Deerfield, Mass overnight at least twice a week with biodiesel from Alliance Energy located in Holyoke, MA. With rising gas prices looming over the nation, Sitterly is proud to be using a product which decreases dependency on foreign oil. By using a 20% soybean oil blend, Alliance and Sitterly are both able to cut their dependence by 20% as well as support US farmers who produce more soybeans than any other country.
“As a company, we are committed to helping the environment. If that means spending a bit more per gallon then that’s what we will do,” commented owner Rod Sitterly. Biofuel used as home heating oil as well as in diesel fuel is becoming a nationwide trend in order to help the environment. Celebrities such as Bonnie Raitt and Willie Nelson have been very vocal in their efforts to always fuel their tour buses with biodiesel fuel, even if they have to travel miles out of their way to obtain it.
